Deborah K. Tabb, D.D.S., P.C.
General and Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Tabb graduated in the top 5% of her class from the Medical College of Virginia in 1982 where she received advanced awards for outstanding performance in endodontics, periodontic, and oral surgeries. A few years later, she decided to open her practice in Bethesda, Maryland. Since 1984 she has brought advanced dental care at a reasonable cost to this area. Her gentle care and genuine concern for her patients are appreciated by the community.
In fact, Dr. Tabb is so dedicated to her profession that she takes more than 30 hours of continuing education courses every year. She has appeared on several local news programs and talk shows as a spokesperson for dentistry and has volunteered in area schools to educate and promote dental health. She is a member of the American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry and the Southern Maryland Dental Society.
Dr. Tabb was born in New Jersey and grew up in Annandale, Virginia. She has three children, 2 boys and a girl, and enjoys spending quality family time whenever she can. She is an avid scuba diver and active in an international organization promoting safety in diving. She also loves tennis, skiing and the outdoors.

Catherine Palandjian, D.D.S., R.D.
General and Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Catherine Palandjian maintains her practice at Bethesda Family Dentistry because she knows that her patients will be offered a range of comprehensive dental services with a focus on cosmetic, implant, and reconstructive dentistry.
Dr. Palandjian realizes just how important it is to link with a clinician who can address immediate dental concerns, perhaps a painful crisis, but also one who can help construct a future plan to continue your dental and oral health for years to come.
Dr. Palandjian attends numerous hours of continuing dental education both in lecture and hands on training. As an active member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Palandjian is involved in dental study clubs and local dental societies. Certified in Invisalign to offer all of her patients an alternative to conventional braces, Dr. Palandjian is also certified in nitrous oxide sedation to help her patients who need additional support and comfort.
Prior to her dental training, Dr. Palandjian was practicing as a Registered Dietitian of which she maintains an active license in Dietetics as well as in Dentistry. Dr. Palandjian utilizes her past clinical nutrition experiences in acute, chronic, and long-term care to provide quality, comprehensive dental services. As a graduate from the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Palandjian completed a residency at Temple University School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While attending dental school, Dr. Palandjian was very active in the pediatric department and continued her desire to volunteer her services in a children’s dental clinic on a weekly basis in Philadelphia. Dr. Palandjian is formerly from Scranton, Pennsylvania and attended Marywood University in which she received her Bachelors Degree with high honors in Science and Nutrition.
Dr. Palandjian lives in Montgomery County with her husband Michael and children Elaina and David. She enjoys traveling, playing tennis, reading and going to the beach.
Wayne Steinberg, D.D.S.
General Dentist Limited to Root Canals
Dr. Steinberg graduated from the University of Maryland in 1975 and the University of Maryland Dental School in 1976. He went on to do an outstanding 20 years in the Unites States Air Force as a general dentist. Upon retiring from the Air Force, Dr. Steinberg joined the distinguished practice of Bethesda Family Dentistry, where he limited his practice to endodontics and root canals with a success rate of over 99%. He can complete most root canals in about one hour. He is well known for his compassionate and painless dentistry.
Dr. Steinberg was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Maryland in 1973 to attend college. He has a wife, Linda, and two boys, Michael and Robert. He is a dedicated father who coached both sons in little league for 10 years. He was also a member of the executive committee for the Southern Maryland United Youth Organization. He loves all sports, especially baseball, and is an avid swimmer.
Robert Bouffard, D.D.S.
Periodontics
Dr. Robert Bouffard was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Archbishop Curley High School and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, graduating in 1986 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. His undergraduate dental training was completed at the University of Maryland Dental School; he graduated in 1990 as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Subsequently, he completed a General Practice Residency in Dentistry at the Naval Hospital in Oakland, and a Periodontics Residency at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Bouffard maintains dental licensure in the state of Maryland, and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology. His practice is limited to Periodontics, the treatment of diseases and abnormalities of the gums and tissues supporting the teeth, and the surgical placement of dental implants. He is an active member of the American Board of Periodontists, the American Academy of Periodontology, The American Dental Association and the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Bouffard and his wife Kimberly have three children, and reside in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Together they enjoy music, sports and the great outdoors.
Matthew J. Gramkee, DDS, MS
Periodontics
Dr. Matthew Gramkee brings over 17 years of experience to the practice. A Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, he is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo (D.D.S., 1989). He received his Certificate in Periodontics from the Naval Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland (graduating number one) and Masters in Oral Biology from The George Washington University, Washington, D.C. (1999). He speaks Spanish and has achieved licensure in the European Union from the University of Granada, Spain. Recognized for his outstanding clinical skills, he has received awards including the Annual Student Award from the American Academy of Periodontology and the Quintessence International Award for Excellence in Clinical Periodontics.Dr. Gramkee is an associate professor at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School and adjunct assistant professor at The George Washington University, where he teaches graduate level periodontics and is involved in several research projects. He is licensed to practice the Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontic(tm) procedure (Wilckodontics(r)) and has extensive experience in dental implant placement and restoration. In addition, he has presented research comparing esthetic periodontal surgical techniques at the International Association for Dental Research, Vancouver, BC. Dr. Gramkee has served as the Command Consultant for Periodontics for the Naval Dental Centers Europe and Mid-Atlantic, Norfolk, VA.
A native of Upstate New York, Dr. Gramkee is married with three children. They enjoy traveling, fishing and crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay, soccer and bowling.
